Cipete Utara Satpol PP Banishes Illegal Parking and Street Vendors

The Cipete Utara Urban Village Satpol PP, Kebayoran Baru, South Jakarta controlled illegal parking and street vendors on several roads.

Cipete Utara Urban Village Satpol PP Head, Suhanda, said the controlling was run on Jalan Fatmawati Raya, Jalan Abdul Majid, Jalan Pangeran Antasari, Jalan Darmawangsa, Jalan H Tholib, and Jalan Prapanca Raya.

Illegal Parking, 40 Vehicles in South Jakarta Netted

"Our targets were street vendors, illegal parking on sidewalk, and Social Welfare Service Needs (PPKS)," he said, Monday (5/26).

Suhanda explained the five Satpol PP personnel involved in the activity controlled five street vendors, six Bajajs, and illegally parked motorcycles.

Suhanda appealed the street vendors and road users not to use public and social facilities for selling or illegal parking.

"Sanction will be given according to Regional Regulation Number 8/2007 about Public Order if they did it again," he explained.

Meanwhile, one of local residents, Asep (51), appreciated the Satpol PP ranks' effort in creating public order humanely and firmly.

"I always support this activity since the violators often caused traffic congestion," he admitted.
